We often get asked how we come up with our designs? With the recent release of our -Ante Up- Tees we thought this would be the perfect opportunity to discuss the process behind how we bring a design idea to a finished product! For the new -Ante Up- Tees we wanted to use a color combination (black/white and turquoise/black) that really gives a clean look. When it’s possible, we try to match the colors used in our tees with upcoming sneaker releases… There are some Jordan’s dropping later this summer that we thought would look sick with this design.
We do our best to create shirts that tell a story, get a reaction from people and give you guys something to talk about. We try to incorporate graphics that everyone can relate to and also represent some of the things that have influenced our own style.
For the -Ante Up- Tees, the only place you will find our logo is on the inside tag… Does this hurt our brand? Maybe… But, we want people to really focus on the artwork. We spend hours meticulously going over every detail and try to put our own interesting take on popular design concepts. With every design we look to add a little something extra, we weren’t happy with just throwing a crest on a tee, and if we’re not happy then our customers certainly won’t be happy. So, we decided to add the eagle trying to get away with the cash. It was the hardest part of this design, trying to get the eagle perfectly placed on top of the crest, but in the end we think we nailed it and it works perfectly to reflect the edginess this design is characterized by.
